Our founders Ernst Abbe and Carl Zeiß were united by a passion—optics. This passion grew into the brilliant pioneering spirit which characterizes our company to the present day.
For Jenoptik, innovation is indispensable. It helps us to define our future as a market-oriented transnational high-tech company. Innovation ensures us profitable growth and provides us with USPs in our markets.
At the start of every innovation is an idea. Our employees have lots of good ideas. Innovation management has therefore been an integral part of Jenoptik’s strategy for many years. We create innovative products, systems and processes with an innovation process which espouses new ideas quickly and efficiently.
But innovation management is more than this. For us, it is an actively experienced corporate culture. We encourage ideas with open communication, transparency and a positive attitude toward change. We put instruments and methods in the hands of our employees which encourage them to identify good ideas and translate them into profitable innovations.
And outstanding achievements in the innovation process are rewarded. For example, Jenoptik presents the JENOPTIK Innovation Award annually to the team with the best innovation of the year.
