Sales for 2010 are expected to be approx. 500 million euros, the Group EBIT at least 25 million euros. The improvement in the EBIT will also be reflected in the positive net income.

22.07.2010 (Berlin) Ten companies and three research institutes are active in the “Berlin WideBaSe“ combined research project concerned with the development, production and sales of materials, equipment, components and systems based on wide-bandgap semiconductors. Germany’s Federal Ministry of Education and Research is funding the project from July 2010 through to the year 2013 with a total of EUR 6.5 million.

The financing structure was converted to a medium to long-term timeframe. Despite the economic crisis Jenoptik generated a clear positive cash flow. To help further growth the Group has approx. 22 million euros available from the capital increase at the beginning of March this year. According to current assessments of the economic environment 2010 is expected to see an improvement.
23.03.2010 (Monheim/Jena) This week the Traffic Solutions division will be exhibiting for the first time under the Jenoptik brand at the most important headline trade fair for the traffic sector, Intertraffic in Amsterdam. In addition to the latest systems covering every aspect of traffic safety, the Optical Systems division will also be presenting LED lighting concepts.

However, one-off effects primarily due to the withdrawal from a business, closure of sites as well as to personnel measures had a significant impact on the group result.
