Manufacture of electronic boards

This area is one of the cornerstones of the business. Electroop counts with modern equipments for manufacturing and testing boards, among the specific equipment available there is an automatic machine Pick&Place, a dual-wave soldering machine, optical inspection equipment, a coating and drying room and a steam phase furnace,  for the production of boards following THT and SMD process.

Electroop performs inspection and acceptance in accordance with IPC 610 Class 3, for which ad-hoc training has been received form the specialized firms.

Electronic boxes and electro-mechanical subsystems

The assembly and testing of electronic equipment is one of Electroop’s cornerstones. It normally includes the preparation of detailed ad-hoc manuals based on the specifications and instructions received from the customers, and in some cases it also includes the design and development of necessary test tools and test benches.

The azimuth and elevation drives installed in the Spanish Leopard tanks are inspected and tested. Along 2009 a test bench for the complete overhaul of the said actuators will be installed.

Optic

Electroop has highly-qualified personnel and wide experience in the assembly and maintenance of night vision goggles, sights, telescopic systems and similar optical devices, for both day and night vision.

Among the available equipment there is a Hoffman bench to assess luminous gain, resolution and the rest of parameters of image-intensifying tubes. It also has an optical bench to simulate focal lengths and asses focusing, resolution, dioptre adjustment, homogeneity and other parameters of complete day and night vision systems.

Test and trials

Electroop counts with an automatic test bench for the testing of electronic boards, simply changing the specific software for each one.

Electroop performs the necessary tests according to the protocol defined by each customer, both for own projects ( electronic boards manufacture by Electroop) and external projects.

Maintenance and technical support

Electroop performs the maintenance of different electro-mechanical systems (Azimuth and elevation drives) for Spanish Leopard tanks. During 2009 a test bench for the complete overhaul of said actuators will be installed.

Furthermore, in the civil area, it is scheduled in 2010 to start-up the overhaul of the elevation drives of RENFE’s active tilting trains Series 598 equipped with ESW’s NEICODRIVE active tilting system.

Electroop also provides technical assistance for different products according to the customer’s needs and depending of the original manufacture’s specifications.

Offset management

Because of its wide experience in offset and on the specific regulations of the Spanish Ministry of Defense, which complement its mentioned industrial capabilities, Electroop is a valuable partner to foreign firms for the implementation of effective and efficient industrial cooperation defense programs in Spain.
