Hommel-Movomatic in-process gauging systems are engineered to establish new standards in repeatability and reliability for grinding and finishing operations.
In-process gauging eliminates dimensional tolerance variations caused by grinding wheel wear, workpiece and coolant temperature fluctuation, and inherent machine deviations. The result is consistent, high quality production, reduced cycle time, and improved productivity. All gauge operating elements, like the gauge arms engagement/disengagement mechanism and the high stability, high linearity capacitive transducer, are fully enclosed in the sealed gauge head to protect them from coolant spray and swarf. Parallel measuring arms are as short as practicable to improve thermal stability and reduce mass inertia and elasticity, three common causes of inaccuracies.
Hommel-Movomatic electronics are the most accurate in the industry. Choose from simple diode displays to programmable, microprocessor-controlled systems that interface with existing computer systems for advanced SPC applications.
In 2002, Hommel-Movomatic introduced on the market the first ever fully digital range of in-process measuring systems.
