Concentrating Photovoltaics

In the solar industry we basically differentiate two technologies. Approved silicon technology is used to create solar modules. Concentrator optics, on the other hand, bundle sunrays onto a tiny spot (solar cell). Complex optics increase intensity and thus a higher current efficiency will be achieved. Concentrator technology is particularly successful in countries with strong solar radiation.
