
Shaft metrology for the production
Metrology for use in the production environment makes very high demands onthe technology and product quality. The OPTICLINE systems more than satisfythese demands. The hardware and software are optimised for use in a productionenvironment and are able to offer gauging component capability with maximumreliability over long periods of time.
Operating the measuring system is perfectly simple. Test plans are createdbased on solution-oriented procedure in minutes. The user guidance can beadapted to the specifi c operating conditions if required.
Measuring- and function principle
The workpiece is scanned opto-electronically according to the silhouetteprinciple. The complete workpiece contour can be evaluated quickly and preciselydue to the high resolution per measured value.

A 360° circular optics is advanced into the bore and generates an image of itsinside surface. Circumferential lines in the bore are represented as rings inthe image. The image is continuously scanned by a high resolution CMOS imager.
Simultaneous forward advancing of the inspection sensor and circularscanning allows for the generation of an undistorted image of the inner surfaceof the bore. Thanks to the high scanning rate, the IPS-10 can be advancedrapidly, which allows for short inspection cycle times.
