Beam Splitter and Filter
Different optical applications demand an allocation of light rays in different intensity portions or wavelength coverage (colors).
Beam splitters can separate parts of signals and they can fade in additional information into beam paths.
Filters eliminate certain parts of light or separate excitation wavelengths and detection wavelengths.
Dielectric beam splitters and filters can be applied directly on the optical component. Very often they are combined with antireflection coatings, which opens up new possibilities for effective system designs.
