Jenoptik celebrated its 20th birthday in Germany and abroad.

About 1,500 employees, partners and supporters of Jenoptik from politics, economy and sciences celebrated the anniversary in Jena on July 1, 2011, among them the former CEOs Lothar Späth and Alexander von Witzleben as well as Minister-President of Thuringia Christine Lieberknecht.

Talks and films illustrated the eventful past of Jenoptik as well as the competencies of today’s optoelectronics group. A laser show, an artistic performance and music by the Firebirds offered much entertainment until midnight. The program of the evening was presented by Ines Krüger and Jenoptik Chairman Michael Mertin.

The Jenoptik anniversary was also celebrated with staff parties at the other key locations of Jenoptik in Germany as well as in China, India, France and Switzerland.
