29.01.2013 (Jena) According to provisional calculations the 2012 Group operating result rose by approx. 10 percent to more than 54 million euros. With an increase of more than 20 percent earnings before tax rose to more than 45 million euros. Sales increased to approx. 585 million euros. In 2013 we expect sales to show a small rise, a stable operative result and investments in growth.

21.01.2013 (Jena) Jenoptik has presented new products and advanced technologies in the fields of optics, lasers and infrared technology in San Francisco. Furthermore, the Group is the main sponsor of the SPIE Startup Challenge 2013 to support young entrepreneurs.

08.01.2013 (Jena / Jupiter) At the Jupiter location in Florida, Jenoptik is set to develop an observation and target acquisition system to the specific requirements of the United States Marine Corps (USMC). The contract has a value of 1.3 million US dollars.

13.12.2012 (Jena) The manufacture of optics in North America is being concentrated, the production of energy systems at two German sites combined. The group is maintaining its forecast for 2012.

28.11.2012 (Jena) Since mid-November 2012, Michael Fichtner is the new Head of Sales in the Lasers business unit of the Jenoptik’s Lasers & Material Processing division.

23.11.2012 (Jena) Laser distance meters of the new LUMOS product family are particularly suitable for distance measurement on hot surfaces, for example, glowing steel, and for outdoor use in bright lighting conditions.

14.11.2012 (Jena) The first consignments of the new Jenoptik fiber lasers have been delivered. They went to an Asian client where they will be used for high-speed metal cutting. Further high power fiber lasers will be delivered till the end of this year. The lasers had previously passed a comprehensive and demanding series of application tests with flying colors.

13.11.2012 (Jena) Over the next years the Jenoptik CEO will represent the European Technology Platform for photonics. He takes over the position from departing President Martin Goetzeler of Osram.

08.11.2012 (Jena) The results for the first nine months of the Jenoptik Group show a positive and very robust development of business. Sales and earnings posted double figure percentage rises above the level achieved in the previous year. The order intake also remained at a good level.
