Development, optical design and construction

Optical, opto-mechanical and opto-electronic systems have to meet exacting requirements in terms of precision and subsequent operating conditions.
The Optical Systems Division is specialized in optical components, assemblies and systems, which we develop with and on behalf of our customers, and produce efficiently in series at consistently high quality levels. We provide our customers with comprehensive support from the initial consultation to the production of the finished solution.
The fulfilment of customer requirements is based on close interaction between the various development, production and testing stages, with the aim of delivering the product to the customer in line with deadline, quality and cost requirements.
Optical Systems utilizes our experience and the synergies within the division to meet the most challenging customer requirements.

In this context, key service characteristics include:

• Analysis of the specifications together with customers.
• Estimation of the feasibility of the technical proposal.
• Drawing up of alternative solution proposals, if necessary.
• Design reviews with customers.
• Certification of prototypes based on acceptance test procedures agreed beforehand.
• Transfer of prototypes into stable and efficient series production.

Optics design:

• Selection and measurement of light sources
• Simulation and calculation of optical systems using ASAP and ZEMAX for imaging illumination and measuring systems
• Raytracing and scattered light simulation
• Tolerance analysis with consideration of mechanical design, production possibilities and    temperature requirements
• Design of dielectrical coatings (antireflection coatings)

All development and production processes are actively supported by project management. Efficient and high-quality production is guaranteed thanks to the development of the necessary adjustment and testing resources.
