Prisms

­­Prismatic surfaces are particularly suitable for optical beam deflection but also for spectral decomposition of light rays.

Plastic optics have the advantage to integrate prismatic surfaces, along with other optical functional surfaces (spherical, aspherical or cylindrical lenses, micro structures, etc.) and mechanical functional elements into one component, which can then be manufactured in just one step (injection molding/injection compression).

­Technical possibilities:

• Prismatic surfaces from 0.01 - 100 mm
• Angular accuracies (depending on component size) + / - 10 angular minutes
• Form derivations (depending on dimensions) from > 1 – 10 μm­
