Canada: Traffic Service Provision for Red Light Enforcement using TraffiStar SR520

In the context of individual traffic service provision in the province of Ontario, Canada we are providing support in the implementation of red light enforcement in intersection areas as well as the processing of traffic enforcement data.

The objective is to sustainably reduce the number of serious accidents in the City of Toronto, Region of Peel, City of Hamilton, City of Ottawa and the Regional Municipality of Waterloo using the detection and documentation of red light violations in intersection areas. For the purpose of effective prosecution, consistently high-quality legally-admissible evidence must continue to be provided.

The project for the improvement of traffic safety in the province of Ontario began in 2007 with the delivery and installation of approximately 120 TraffiStar SR520 systems in addition to the required IT for the software-supported evaluation of violations: TraffiDesk II and TIPS (Traffipax Incident Processing System). Throughout the five-year duration of the project and together with our US subsidiary, Traffipax Inc., we are responsible for the problem-free operation of the red light enforcement systems as well as the evaluation software for traffic violations. Through the provision of highly-reliable solutions, regular maintenance work and annual recalibration, we are able to ensure uninterrupted system availability.
