Under the motto “Sharing Excellence in Industrial Metrology” the Industrial Metrology division will be putting the focus on innovations at Control 2012 in Stuttgart from May 8 to 11. The new generation of form measuremt systems will be on show for the first time which even can measure surface roughness and straightness with a single clamping process.
From mobile, cordless roughness tester to the automatic high-end measurement station, the Jenoptik division will be presenting its broad range of services for metrology. Automation and flexible, high-precision metrology for manufacturing in particular are playing an increasingly greater role and one which the HOMMEL-ETAMIC product range is fulfilling. “In 2012 we are again anticipating a broad cross-section of national and international visitors and expect to make numerous interesting contacts. This year we will once again be showcasing many innovations and new features,” says Head of Division Volkmar Hauser before the start of the 26th Control Trade Fair. New metrology solutions for more environmentally friendly engines in the automotive industry, for medical technology or in other sectors, are in demand. The Industrial Metrology division will be meeting these demands by offering individual customer solutions for form, roughness and dimensional metrology.
The new F435 and F455 form measuring systems are designed for fully automatic measurement of geometrical tolerances. Even surface roughness and straightness can be measured with a single clamping process. The next generation compact design delivers unsurpassed technological improvements helping deliver higher productivity, functionality and usability.
The new measuring electronics platform for dimensional measurements in the production environment will also be presented to the public for the first time. With the sturdy industrial PCs HOMMEL-ETAMIC sirius and HOMMEL-ETAMIC vega, as well as the TOLARISTM software specially developed to meet the demands for production supporting quality control, the division will be offering other innovations designed to meet the requirements of tomorrow. The PS50 and PS100 intelligent measurement satellites allow for the connection of all standard measurement devices for high-precision, static and dynamic measurements.
In the field of pneumatic metrology the world’s fastest digital, electro-pneumatic converter, the HOMMEL-ETAMIC TPE200, will be on show. In addition to extremely fast response times of just 15ms and very low noise of less than 0.1µm, the TPE200 is equipped with automatic adjustment for fluctuations in temperature and air pressure. Thanks to these properties and its very compact design, the TPE200 is also suitable in particular for use in machine tools.
The market leader position in the area of optical shaft measuring technology is underlined once again by the HOMMEL-ETAMIC opticline CA618. The optical non-contact shaft measuring systems HOMMEL-ETAMIC opticline CA300/600 are optimized for shop-floor environments and offer optimal solutions for workpieces like e-motor shafts, smaller crank shafts, gear shafts or pistons. The systems can be used either as an SPC measuring station for manual loading or as a fully automated system loaded e.g. by robot. The opticline CA-family can be easily adjusted to new workpieces, current measuring tasks and future requirements. The family provides highest flexibility for integration into production environments and offers excellent long-term measuring accuracy.
For demanding measuring tasks like final inspection of crank shafts optimal technical configurations and system adaptations can be offered to solve several customer requirements. Optional is also a very fast tactile probe for special measurement tasks available.
You will find these and other innovations on the Jenoptik Stand 3501 in Hall 3.
