Ultra Precision Technology

­Our ultra precision technology is specially designed for producing highly accurate molding inserts for optical surfaces of as well as for polymer prototypes and small lot series.
The key items of this technology are hydrostatic padded drivers, an air bearing spindle and positioning resolutions on the nanometer scale.  A mono-crystalline diamond is primarily used as tool.

We use the following technologies:

• 2-axis diamond turning
• Slow tool servo
• Fly cutting
• Contour boring

­­External factors such as temperature and mechanical vibrations are strongly limited by appropriate building engineering. Thus form accuracies of up to 0, 1µm and roughnesses of < 10 nm (Rq) will be achieved. Processing diameters can be between 0, 2 and 300 mm.
