Aircraft and helicopter have to be ready for take off regardless of the weather conditions. The danger of icing on engines, propellers, rotors as well as on wing and tail surfaces is addressed by Jenoptik Defense & Civil Systems division with its controller systems for anti-freeze and de-icing applications. Electrical power is converted into heat with a minimum of power consumption whenever it is needed.
Electrical heating is used in various areas in aircraft, from windshield de-icing in cockpits to air heating of cargo compartments and passenger cabins to heating of the waste- and freshwater system (valves, ducts et al.). Other components such as floor panels can be heated as needed.
We provide supply and control of the various heating elements with our line of heating control units – from 2 to 32 channels – that can operate in a network.
The product portfolio is completed by temperature setting panels with monochrome or color displays as well as various components with integrated heating.
