­Due to changing deployment scenarios of military forces worldwide the armor of military vehicles has become more and more important. The Defense & Civil Systems division is taking account of these developments with its latest composite product: transparent composite armor for armored vehicles, which remains transparent even after multiple hits.

Composite Window Made Purely of Plastics

By contrast to conventional bullet-proof windows this window pane can be curved due to its texture. This prov­ides a wider field of vision for the occupants of the vehicle thus improving their survivability.­

Transparent Armor - Curved

­­The transparent armor can be curved because it consists of composite material, thus enabling new applications in a vehicle such as roof hatches on tanks.
