It is as important for military aircraft as it is for land-based vehicles to uncouple the movement of the carrier from the recording systems used for reconnaissance and target acquisition.
Stabilized Platforms for Radar- and Optical Sensors
The stabilized platforms for radar and optical sensors developed by the Defense & Civil Systems division are therefore stabilized along two or even three axes. Together with day- and night-vision cameras, infrared cameras and laser distance measurements, they form a complete observation system.
