Group Structure
As a comprehensive optoelectronics group, Jenoptik divides its activities into five divisions: Lasers & Material Processing, Optical Systems, Industrial Metrology, Traffic Solutions and Defense & Civil Systems. The divisions constitute the three segments Lasers & Optical Systems, Metrology and Defense & Civil Systems.
Lasers & Material Processing
In the area of laser technology, the division has specialized in high-quality semiconductor materials and reliable diode lasers as well as innovative solid-state lasers such as for example disk and fiber lasers. Lasers are developed as components and system for our customers' applications and integrated into material processing systems. Jenoptik has control over the entire added value chain for laser material processing in the form of development, manufacture and sales.
Optical Systems
The division is a development and production partner for optical, micro-optical and optical coating components, opto-mechanical and opto-electronical assemblies, modules and systems.
Industrial Metrology
In the area of industrial metrology Jenoptik is a leading manufacturer and system provider for high-precision, contact and non-contact production metrology. The range of products and services covers total solutions for a wide range of measurement tasks such as testing roughness, contour and form as well as determining dimensions - in-process, post-process or in the metrology room.
Traffic Solutions
Speed measurement and red light monitoring systems are contributing towards greater road traffic safety throughout the world. The product portfolio includes components for automatically recording toll violations, comprehensive systems and services relating to all aspects of road traffic.
Defense & Civil Systems
The Defense & Civil Systems division focuses on the areas of military and civil vehicle, rail and aircraft equipment, drive and stabilization technology as well as energy systems. The service spectrum also includes optoelectronic instruments and systems for the security industry as well as software, measurement and control technology. In the laser and infrared sensor systems field the focus is on the development, manufacture and marketing of laser distance measurement equipment as well as infrared camera systems designed to meet a wide range of applications.
