NYXUS product platform

With the NYXUS product platform we are pleased to present top class cooled and uncooled thermal image technology for surveillance and reconnaissance. Our NYXUS day and night observation equipment from Jena is operationally proven and first choice for artillery, infantry, engineers and special forces. With the NYXUS product platform we are attuned to our customers’ needs. That is why German and international troops trust our optronic systems for accomplishing their mission within diverse military scenarios worldwide. The NYXUS product platform covers the whole spectrum of target acquisition requirements at day and night: It enables to conduct short, mid, long up to very long range target acquisition and ensures target distance measurement up to high-precision determination of the target position.

NYXUS

Precision and accuracy is never more important that in mortar, artillery and engineer units. The observation platform NYXUS combines the components day binocular and thermal imager with laser range finder, GPS and Digital Magnetic Compass in one compact housing and ensures excellent measurement performance by using a goniometer and a north-finding gyroscope.
NYXUS is implemented within the German Army, amongst others.

NYXUS MR Project

The uncooled thermal imager NYXUS MR (MR = Mid Range) is designed as one of the most lightweight and reliable thermal viewers with a performance previously unknown in portable uncooled equipment for long distance person and vehicle detection. It provides the best range of person recognition worldwide compared to other uncooled systems for observation and reconnaissance. With its short start-up time and integrated auto focus it is the perfect device for special forces staff and infantrymen.

NYXUS SR Project

We are completing our NYXUS product platform with the NYXUS Short Range (SR). Using infrared optics with a wider field of view, NYXUS SR is the “little brother” of the NYXUS MR.
