On-board System Generators
Amongst others we provide on-board system generators which are operated as DC generators for 28V on-board power supply. Usually they are designed as brushless three-phase AC generators with integrated rectifiers. They range from unipolar- to homopolar- to three-phase synchronous machines with permanent magnet excitation.
On-board System Generators for 28V On-board Power Supply
These generators feature a brushless, robust and maintenance-free design:
- Independent of ambient influences in the engine space
- High efficiency and consistent performance regardless of ambient temperature
- Customer-specific adpatations
The generators are particularly suited for military as well as demanding commercial applications, where reliability, ruggedness und high power density are in demand, such as in railway transportation. For the different applications we provide water- as well as oil-cooled designs.
On-board Power Supply for Railway Vehicles
For on-board power supply of railway vehicles the Jenoptik Defense & Civil Systems division provides on-board system generators in a power range of 5kW up to 2000kW with variable speed.
