Eurofighter Typhoon Radome

In the mid of the eighties Great Britain, Germany, Italy and Spain formed a union for a joint development project to design a new European air superiority fighter. This joint endeavor led to the Eurofighter Typhoon, manufactured by the Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug GmbH, a Joint Venture of EADS/CASA, BAE Systems and Alenia Aeronautica.

Consortium Leader for the Nose Radome Manufacturing

The nose radome for the Eurofighter Typhoon manufactured by Jenoptik Defense & Civil Systems division in a consortium together with companies from the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain. It protects the multi-mode pulse Doppler radar for air-to-air and air-to-ground reconnaissance from extreme conditions during flight operation.­
