Development for the multi-role military helicopter NH90 for NATO began in the Nineties. It is manufactured and marketed by NH Industries, a joint venture of the companies AgustaWestland, Stork Fokker and Eurocopter.
The NH90 is offered in two variants: TTH (Tactical Transport Helicopter) and NFH (Nato Frigate Helicopter). The Defense & Civil Systems division delivers nose radomes for all TTH models. The radom protects the underlying weather radar from all exterior influences during flight operation, with the GRP sandwich building element having minimal effect on the performance of the radar unit.
