HOMMEL-ETAMIC roundscan
In holding bodies, diverse form and roughness parameters are to be determined at a depth of down to 100 mm. The surface parameters must be measured partially in an axial and partially in a radial direction. Parameters Pt and Rz, for example, can be precisely determined at a depth of 80 mm on a 15° diagonal and with a width of just 0.8 mm. Every type of holding body is fully measured by an automated process that requires no probe arm change and no operator intervention.
The measurement is taken using a HOMMEL roundscan with high-resolution axes. The C-axis enables up to 120,000 points per measurement to be recorded. Surface parameters can then be also be evaluated in a circumferential direction. Also employed is a special air damping system, which minimizes external influences on the measurement and also enables production-related use. To solve this measuring task, a special probe arm has been developed that permits the combined measurement of roughness and form, even in tight bores. The entire range of various holding body types is measured by an automated process using a probe arm. This minimizes operator intervention and eliminates the possibility of operating errors. A wealth of solution expertise exists for clamping injection elements, and a vast amount of experience can be drawn on depending on the measuring task concerned.
Measured parameters:
Roundness, run-out, Rzmax radial and axial, Ptmax, bearing ratio
