The dimensional measuring variables can be determined at the outer contour throughout all process steps on the highly-sophisticated nozzle needles. Diameters, lengths, angles and radii are evaluated. All parameters are determined very swiftly and with high optical accuracy.


A HOMMEL contour 302 is used for the measurement. Its high-resolution camera system enables the contours of extremely small components to be precisely recorded. The relevant parameters can be determined throughout all process steps. As well as diameters, lengths and radii, surface intersection points can also be determined. The measurement systems are the ideal solution for production-related use. The assembly process and operation are worker-friendly. The needles are picked up by a self-optimized pneumatic clamping system. The entire measurement is fully automated, taking between 10 and 30 seconds.
