Final inspection measuring machine
Cam shaft final inspection comprises a 100% inspection at the end of the production line.
Depending on the automation level of the line, the machines can be fully concatenated or manually loaded. The design is based on the type and manner of the concatenation. In the case of concatenation via loading portals or robots, the measuring machine is loaded from above. If the line is loaded via belts, the workpieces are lifted from the belt directly to the measuring machine. The measurement process is fully automatic.
The measuring station consists of inductive and incremental measuring systems, and works according to the principle of multipoint metrology.
Dimensions, cam shape, cam angle, form and situation parameters are measured. Often, a signing station is added to the measuring station. The signing process is carried out via ink jet, pin stamping, or laser. If a Data Matrix Code is signed, the legibility of the code can be checked via a camera system. Workpieces that are outside the specification are ejected.
Adjustments are automatically carried out via a setting master or cycled into the measuring station according to time or piece number.
