Using mobile point-to-point measurement entire road sections can be monitored in various locations such as accident black spots. TraffiSection is also designed to enable short-term monitoring of road sections, for example during road construction work.

TraffiSection mobile point-to-point measurement offers a solution which determines the average speed of vehicles over an entire stretch of road. It detects speed violations and provides the relevant data for reliable and comprehensive traffic offence penalisation .

Maximum flexibility and client benefit are guaranteed, in particular with the modular design of TraffiSection: the basic installation can be expanded on request, by integrating client-specific modules such as driver face recognition, a link to existing variable message signs, classification of various vehicle categories and recognition of wrong-way drivers or transport of dangerous goods. Radar, laser, loop or piezo technologies can be used as sensors as well as camera and flash systems.

Features

  • Deployment in mobile and fixed systems
  • Automatic number plate recognition
  • Integrated detection, evaluation and processing
  • Automated and rapid online data processing
  • Adaptable to client requirements
Method of operation:
The method of operation of the point-to-point measurement using TraffiSection is based on the recognition of vehicle numberplates. The numberplates are recorded and/or recognised at the entry and exit points and encrypted in the camera. This guarantees an anonymous transmission.
On the basis of the known distance between the entry and exit points, the system calculates the average speed at which the vehicle entered and left the section. TraffiSection assembles the data collected at the entry and exit points into one data set. The data set and an optional driver picture can then be directly provided to the client, i.e. police force or municipality.
