Jenoptik wins another traffic safety contract in the Middle East region
Jenoptik’s Traffic Solutions division and its local partner Telco International have received a contract to deliver non-invasive TraffiStar systems in the latest cabinet design to the Ministry of Interior in Qatar. The division has already successfully supplied many countries in the region.
The systems will be housed in the new innovative designer cabinet, TraffiTower 2.0, combining aesthetics with high performance to meet the needs of current developments and future challenges in Qatar’s ever-expanding infrastructure.
Jenoptik’s Traffic Solutions division has been associated with the Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior in Qatar since 1993 and has since then supplied roadside, red light, tripod and in-vehicle systems to Qatar.
“Besides Qatar, Jenoptik has been successfully supplying Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Lebanon with traffic law enforcement systems for the last years, making it a leading partner for improved traffic safety in the region,” states Jenoptik CEO Michael Mertin.
