Intertraffic 2014: Jenoptik presents flexible product range for global traffic safety

Under the theme “Paving your way to Traffic Safety”, Jenoptik’s Traffic Solutions division exhibits its new flexible approach with product news like the “MiniRack”, an optical traffic light detection technology and TraffiTower 2.0 at the Intertraffic Trade Fair in Amsterdam, from March 25th to 28th.

Being the only supplier worldwide to offer all sensor technologies used in modern traffic monitoring i.e. laser scanners, radar, piezo and induction loops, the division positions itself as supplier of complete systems solutions for more traffic safety on the trade fair stand – including consulting, project planning and implementation as well as operation.

Highlights will include the innovative “Flexibility for all” modular system design that will allow customers to deploy core components of traffic safety systems in a wide variety of different applications. A laser scanner or radar sensor is combined with the state-of-the-art SmartCamera IV in a “MiniRack” which can easily be integrated to address all types of user needs: stationary, in a vehicle, or in mobile applications using the easy-to-handle “TraffiTop” mounted on a tripod or on a container. The “MiniRack” expands the flexibility of deployment and the variety of enforcement possibilities, thereby ensuring greater efficiency and lower cost of ownership.

Additionally, Jenoptik Traffic Solutions will present a new optical traffic light recognition technology. Being non-invasive, this system design is simple and efficient to install and to operate and therefore represents the most economical solution for the future of red-light enforcement.

TraffiDesk compact is the lean version of the TraffiDesk pro software. This new application for evaluating and processing traffic monitoring data in smaller-scale deployments will also be introduced at Intertraffic 2014.

The TraffiTower 2.0, the new flexible outer housing solution will also be featured on the stand. TraffiTower 2.0 has recently been awarded the renowned “iF product design award” in the category “public design”. It combines design and high functionality for traffic monitoring using laser or radar. Two completely independently functioning measuring systems can be built into the housing. This makes it possible to monitor speed or red lights simultaneously across up to six lanes and in different directions.

In addition to products and components tailored to customer requirements around the world, the Jenoptik Traffic Solutions division will also be presenting its comprehensive range of services, known as Traffic Service Provision. This part of the Jenoptik division unites all services – from single modules to complete processes for traffic monitoring at no up-front cost to the client or without additional staffing requirements.
