Diode laser rangefinders: Extremely compact modules for Integration into portable systems

These compact laser rangefinders are small, lightweight and energy-efficient, making them ideal for use in mobile and handheld devices.

DLEM diode laser rangefinder modules from Jenoptik measure distances to non-cooperative targets with a high level of precision and within a range of up to 5 kilometers. With their extremely compact design and low weight between 33 and 170 grams, the devices from the DLEM series are the smallest and most lightweight measuring devices in their class. Operating energy-efficiently, they also require little power. As a result, they are perfect for integration into mobile and handheld systems, such as portable observation devices or even weapon-mounted sights.

The modules use 1.5 micrometer diode lasers and are eye-safe. The wavelength is invisible to the human eye or to an image intensifier. This means that the devices are ideal for tactical use, since the laser pulses practically not detectable. The laser rangefinders measure a wide range of targets quickly and with an exceptional level of precision – even with impaired visibility and within a wide temperature range.

The modules are primarily used in military defense technology where the accurate and instantly delivered distance information enables a fast response to threats, and can minimize the zeroing-in efforts required. This increases the safety of your forces.

All the devices in the DLEM series from Jenoptik offer the same communication interface, enabling you to use the control software for your devices across different models, saving integration efforts when switching from one to another model.

New: DLEM 20

During 2016 AUSA annual  meeting taking place in Washington, United States, Jenoptik launches the new DLEM 20 rangefinder. The latest addition to the DLEM series is ultra-lightweight: Weighing 33 grams only, the DLEM 20 measures distances within a range of up to 5,000 meters with 0.5 meter accuracy.
