Access to the factory site
According to sanction lists we are obligated to verify all visitors and contract partners of Jenoptik using information such as name, nationality, and institution of origin. Please make sure to have a valid ID at hand.

Access and Movement on the Factory Site
Make sure to visibly wear your visitor badge at all times during your stay on our site.
Visitors must always be accompanied by an employee of Jenoptik. Access to security areas is only permitted after a security briefing has been conducted by an authorize employee.
Please stay on the designated paths and corridors.
Some working areas are visibly marked with barriers or warning signs such as „NUR FÜR AUTORISIERTES PERSONAL“ (ger.: Only for authorized personnel). If you are located in or close to one of such areas, make sure to follow the instructions of the personnel that is working there.
Driving and Parking, Speed Limit
The factory site is only accessible to employees, guests, and delivery traffic. Employees can use the parking facilities with access from the Knappsdorfer Straße. The delivery access and guest parking area are adjacent to the Wilschdorfer Landstraße.
Vehicles that pose a safety concern and/or restrict the movement of other vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense. For the entire site usual traffic rules as well as a speed limit of 10 km/h are in action.
Taking and Bringing Items
It is strictly forbidden to take items – in particular documents – with you without the explicit permission of your supervisor or another authorized employee.
The use of portable storage devices such as FD, CD, DVD, USB flash or hard drives on computers that are connected to the Jenoptik network is forbidden.
Smoking and Drug Prohibition
Smoking is only allowed on the designated areas outside of the factory.
The use of fire and open lights requires permission from the building management or the fire safety officer.
Entering the site while under the influence of alcohol or other drugs is prohibited. The host as well as security personnel are entitled to ask you for appropriate tests.
Recording Prohibition
The recording of video, photo or audio material on any device is strictly prohibited within the entire site as long as no explicit authorization has been issued by Jenoptik.
The building complex as well as the entire site are being monitored around the clock by our security staff.
Surrounding, Goods and Materials
It is necessary to always follow the instructions of employees regarding possible risks at the workplace. This includes for example: usage of cranes, forklifts, electric and other devices, handling of chemicals, gases, or pressure tanks.
Make sure to keep awareness of forklift and delivery traffic as well as suspended loads under crane systems within areas used for logistical processes.
Be wary of general hazards throughout the entire factory site, such as tripping, impact, falling, and crushing hazards as well as those arising from vehicle traffic or production related technologies like laser devices, electromagnetic field generators and heat radiators.
Do not touch
Please do not touch any materials, goods, machines, or other devices. You could harm yourself as well as our production and its outputs.
Protective Gear
Only enter areas that stipulate the wear of protective gear with said gear. As a visitor needed gear will be lent to you by your supervisor if applicable.
Be aware of your impact on our environment and act accordingly.
Always stay true to the prevailing law as well as the regulations of Jenoptik.
If you are working with hazardous substances, ensure their qualified use, proper storage, and safe disposal.
Avoid the creation of waste as much as possible and dispose of it according to the guidelines of waste separation and in compliance with legal regulations. If your work generates hazardous waste, you must dispose of it at your own expense.
Try to use energy sources sparingly.
In case of an emergency, follow the instructions of the person you are visiting, the head of the department you work for, or call the reception.
