Data protection declaration

JENOPTIK AG

We, JENOPTIK AG, take the protection of your personal data very seriously and operate in strict compliance with the requirements of the Federal Data Protection Act. On this website, personal data is only collected to the extent required for the purposes set out below.

The following policy provides an overview of how we ensure data protection, which data are collected, and for what purpose.

Data Processing on this Website (Access Data)

Each time a JENOPTIK AG webpage is visited, access data are stored in a log file, the server log. The data record saved includes the following data:

  • date, time, access status (file found, not found etc.) and the request from your browser to the server,
  • the volume of data transferred, the website from which the page request originated (IP address),
  • the individual pages you visit on our website and
  • the product and version information of the browser used (user agent) and the preferred language used.

These data do not enable JENOPTIK AG to personally identify visitors. We will not merge these data with other data sources. The stored data are evaluated for statistical purposes only. No data are transmitted to third parties for commercial or non-commercial purposes. They are deleted following processing.

Collection and Processing of Personal Data

Wherever personal or business data (e-mail addresses, names, addresses, contact information, customer number) can be entered on our websites, users must provide prior express consent. The requirement for consent is clearly set out on the homepage. These data are treated confidentially and not transmitted to third parties. They are not in any way linked to access data.
Within the scope of personalized services offered by JENOPTIK AG, your registration data will be used, on condition of your consent, for the purpose of marketing and the demand-oriented design of electronic services.

Security of Your Personal Data

JENOPTIK AG uses technical and organisational security measures in order to protect your personal data that we collect against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or against the access of unauthorized persons. Our security measures are constantly being improved according to the technological development.

Transmission of Your Data

Except for back office business purposes, JENOPTIK AG will not transmit your data to third parties. According to the principle of data economy, transmitted data are limited to the required minimum. Insofar as JENOPTIK AG is obliged legally or by court order to transmit your personal data, we will only disclose them to government institutions and authorities entitled to receive these data as specified by law.

Export and Processing of Data in Countries Outside the European Economic Area

The areas of interest you define may be stored and evaluated on the server of one of our subsidiaries or by contractors in countries outside the European Union. Should the country concerned not offer data protection to the acknowledged high level of the EU, we ensure the protection of your privacy and personal data in a recognized and appropriate way via contractual agreements (standard EU contractual clauses on data protection).

Cookies

JENOPTIK AG’s web pages use so-called cookies. These serve to make our websites more user-friendly, effective and safe. Cookies are small text files which are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. The majority of cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted when you leave our site. Cookies cause no damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. We use permanent cookies to save the settings you apply (e.g. the language of our website) on your computer.
The majority of browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. However, you may deactivate the storage of cookies or set your browser to alert you to cookie requests.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files stored on your computer and which allow an analysis of the use of the site by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) are transferred to and stored on a Google server in the U.S. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for website operators and to provide other services in connection with the use of this website and of the Internet. Google will transmit this information to third parties unless required by law or if third parties process this data on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however, we point out that in this case you can not use all features of this website. By using this site you agree to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner described and for the aforementioned purpose. The data collection and storage can always be excluded for the future [with https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de ]. Given the debate about the use of analytical tools with full IP addresses, we would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp ()" and, thus, processes IP addresses only in a shortened version in order to exclude a direct relation to people.

Sitecore Experience Platform

This website is provided using the Sitecore Web Content Management system, which offers web analysis functions similar to those offered by Google Analytics. The information generated by cookies regarding the use of this website, including anonymized IP addresses (this data is anonymized by deleting the last part of the IP address), is stored in a database in the Jenoptik data center. Sitecore uses this information to assess your use of the website, and to compile reports on website activity for the website operator. You can prevent cookies from being installed by means of an appropriate setting in your browser, however, please note that if you do so, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website.

Other data (for example, certain system data such as the anonymous IP address, screen resolution, operating system version, browser, flash plug-in, country settings, and language settings) is also collected via AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML), and stored in a database in the Jenoptik data center. Sitecore uses this information to assess your use of the website, and to compile reports on website activity for the website operator. You can prevent or make it more difficult for such information to be stored by disabling JavaScript. However, please note that if you do so, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website.

By using this website, you agree to the processing of the data collected about you by Sitecore using the methods described above and for the purposes specified.

Privacy Statement Regarding the Use of Facebook Plug-Ins (Like Button)

Our website uses plug-ins for the social network Facebook, provided by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA. The Facebook plug-ins on our website can be identified by the Facebook logo or the “Like” button. For an overview of Facebook plug-ins, see: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.

When visiting our website, the plug-in establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. This informs Facebook that you have visited our website with your IP address. If you click the Facebook “Like” button while logged into your Facebook account, you can link the content of our website to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to assign your visit to our website to your user account. Please note that as the provider of the website, we have no knowledge of the content of the data sent to Facebook, nor how it is used by Facebook. For more information, see the Facebook data policy at https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.

If you do not wish Facebook to assign your visit to our website to your Facebook account, please log out of your Facebook account.

Privacy Statement for the Use of Google +1

Our website uses the functions of Google +1. This function is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Collection and disclosure of information: The Google +1 button allows you to publish information worldwide. The Google +1 button means that you and other users receive personalized content from Google and our partners. Google stores the information that you clicked the +1 button for certain content, as well as information about the page that you viewed when you clicked the +1 button. Your +1s may be shown together with your profile name and your photo in Google services, for example in search results or in your Google profile, or they may be displayed in other locations on Internet websites and adverts. Google records information about your +1 activities to improve Google services for you and others. To use the Google +1 button, you require a globally visible, public Google profile that must contain at least the name chosen for the profile. This name is used across all Google services. In some cases, this name may also replace another name that you used when sharing content via your Google account. The identity of your Google profile can be shown to users who know your e-mail address, or have other identifying information about you.

Use of the information collected: In addition to the purposes outlined above, the information you provide is used in accordance with the applicable Google privacy policy. Google may publish summarized statistics about the +1 activities of users, and may pass this information on to users and partners such as publishers, advertisers, or linked websites.

Privacy Statement for the Use of Twitter

Our website includes functions related to the Twitter service. These functions are provided by Twitter Inc., 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. By using Twitter and the “Retweet” function, the web pages you visit will be linked to your Twitter account and made public to other users. Data will also be sent to Twitter. Please note that as the provider of the website, we have no knowledge of the content of the data sent to Twitter, nor how it is used by Twitter. For more information, see the Twitter privacy statement: https://twitter.com/privacy.
