Jenoptik exhibits photonics innovations at Thuringia’s largest high-tech trade fair
The W3+ Fair Jena has established itself as a new high-tech hotspot in central Germany and continues to grow. Jenoptik will be showcasing its range of products and technologies for growth industries and offering insights into new production approaches.
At the “W3+ Fair Jena” trade fair on September 24 and 25, 2025, more than 250 exhibitors will present the latest trends and innovations in the fields of photonics, optics, electronics, and mechanics. The W3+ Fair is being held in Jena for the third time and is one of the fastest-growing trade fairs in Germany in recent years, demonstrating the strength of the technology and photonics market in central Germany, and here in particular Jena as a photonics cluster. The focus is on networking research, development, and application.
Jenoptik has been involved since the start in Jena in 2023 and, together with its affiliated companies SwissOptic and TRIOPTICS, will once again be presenting its latest solutions and technologies for optical communication and semiconductor manufacturing, medical technology, and measurement technology. Roman Feldkamp, Manager Business Partner Production IT at Jenoptik, will provide insights into Jenoptik’s processes in his presentation on digital production. He will demonstrate that highly specialized small series, customer-specific products, and manual work steps do not contradict automation and digitization of production.

- high-precision micro-optical components for optical communication and semiconductor manufacturing,
- smart solutions for ophthalmology and endoscopy,
- interferometers for measuring surface and wavefront deformation, and
- high-precision lightweight optical mirrors.
