Combining imaging and multispectral illumination makes surgery more precise and safer
Jenoptik will be presenting its expertise and OEM solutions for surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology, aesthetic applications and life sciences at the COMPAMED trade fair in Düsseldorf from November 17 to 20, 2025.
With the offer “Co-developing with you,” Jenoptik presents its OEM solutions, primarily in the field of illumination and imaging. For manufacturers of endoscopic surgery devices, Jenoptik has combined the two essential elements of illumination and imaging in the holistic MS-I2 (Mulitispectral Illumination and Imaging) development approach.
Complex procedures become easier, more precise, and safer thanks to clear visualization of the surgical field. The innovative include an adjustable color point, flexible fluorescence excitation to address a specific fluorescence marker, and image overlay, which enable new imaging modalities. The light source is expertly paired with advanced optical components and imaging solutions, even autoclavable for optimal sterility, thereby reducing the risk of infection.
The advantages at a glance:
- Tunable color point
- Flexible fluorescence excitation
- Overlay of images
- Basis for new functionalities and applications
- Easy integration into endoscopes
Presentation “Improved diagnostics in surgery”
Hannes Weise, Manager R&D Imaging Based Solutions at Jenoptik, will present these new possibilities on November 18 at the trade fair in his presentation entitled: Enhanced diagnostics in surgery with multispectral illumination and imaging – MS-I2.
As an OEM solution provider, Jenoptik targets medical device manufacturers and paves the way for even greater safety and accuracy in complex surgical procedures. In addition to the new concepts for surgery, Jenoptik and its affiliated company SwissOptic will also be showcasing solutions for ophthalmology, dermatology, aesthetics and live science.
Jenoptik will be exhibiting at booth G19-1 in hall 8a.
