Jenoptik secures major contract to deploy intersection safety camera systems across British Columbia

JENOPTIK Canada Ltd., a leading provider of road safety and security solutions, has been awarded a contract by the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) to supply more than 140 intersection safety camera systems as part of ICBC’s Intersection Safety Camera Program. The project represents a significant investment in road safety infrastructure and supports ICBC’s ongoing efforts to improve safety at signalized intersections throughout British Columbia.

Under the terms of the agreement, Jenoptik will deliver, implement and install more than 140 of the latest systems that combine red light violation and speed on green detection, together with its FlowTris back-office platform. The integrated solution will support the capture, processing, and management of enforcement data, providing a secure and efficient workflow for administering the Intersection Safety Camera Program.

Intersection safety camera programs are designed to encourage safer driving behaviour by promoting compliance with traffic laws at signalized intersections.
